The Wenlin 4.0.2 update for Mac OS X is in a zip file named wenlin402mac_update.zip (1,390,235 bytes).
If you have not already installed Wenlin 4.0 on your hard drive, do so before installing the update, so that there will be a Wenlin4 folder to contain the updated application file.
Quit Wenlin if it is running. Then click on the link below to download wenlin402mac_update.zip. Your browser may automatically save the file in some location such as Downloads or the Desktop, or it may let you choose the the location in which to save it. You can save it in any convenient location. After downloading it, unzip it by double-clicking on it. An icon named Wenlin.app will appear. (The .app extension may be hidden, depending on how you have the Finder configured.)
IMPORTANT: If you are logged in as a different user from the user who originally installed Wenlin, updating may not work unless you do this: in the Finder, select the Wenlin4 folder (which is normally inside the Applications folder), and choose Get Info from the File menu. Under "Sharing and Permissions", click on the lock icon to enable making changes (you'll be prompted for an administrative password). Change the permission to "Read and Write" for all users. Click on the Action (gear) menu and choose "Apply to enclosed items" (see Apple documentation).
Drag the Wenlin.app icon into the Wenlin4 folder on your hard drive (where 4.0 is already installed; normally inside the Applications folder). You will be asked whether to replace the older version of Wenlin.app; press the Replace button.
